About Us | Letter From The Executive Director:
 |
It has been an exciting first year as the new Executive Director of Girls Quest. I am grateful to all of you for your generosity of time and spirit during our transition from Girls' Vacation Fund to Girls Quest. With your continued support, I look forward to building upon our extraordinary 70-year history, and bringing us even further in impact, scope, and recognition.
Leveraging technology - such as building and operating this new interactive website - will be a big part of these efforts, and I hope all our girls, parents, summer staff, alumnae, board members, mentors, volunteers, and friends will enjoy these innovations. I encourage you to take a look around our new "virtual" home and share your thoughts with us. This site is for you, and we want it to meet your needs. In addition, we are growing some of our non-virtual capacity as well. I am pleased to announce that in May we will move into our new offices, located at 150 West 30th Street. For the first time, this will provide us with the opportunity to engage in on-site programs for our girls throughout the year. With the tireless efforts of an incredible staff, we will use our new capacity during 2006 to expand our outreach, and enhance our programs so that we can be a strong resource to every girl who participates in Girls Quest programs - and bring our good work to more deserving girls. As we work to make Girls Quest the premier organization that focuses on building the academic and social competencies of girls in New York, I hope you will enjoy this site. Thank you for your continued support. And come back to the web site soon, we will be developing more capabilities as the year progresses! Best, Susan Hall Executive Director
